It’s hard to explain or to verbalize but the FOO Mapping was perhaps one of the most consequential processes of my adult life.  It’s like I no longer feel like the  little metal ball in a pinball machine when the world pulls my lever.  Still not perfect, but I have my FOO button in my kitchen and I push it daily…I kept your voice because for some reason.. when you say it I believe you!

Dr. Collier presented the information in a very understandable way even if you had no neuroscience training before listening. This is another session that I want to listen to again.

I wanted to tell you how much I have enjoyed and learned from your “Parent Ed” sessions through my child’s school. You have a wonderful approach, style, and tone, which is very engaging but also very clear and easy to understand. It’s also obvious that you have real expertise not only in the subject matter but how to explain it and apply it. I’ve learned a lot, and my wife and I quickly adopted several strategies and action items that have been helpful!

I have seen you present twice, once at a Conroe ISD Middle School and once at a Zoom webinar for school counselors. Your presentations were powerful and impressive because they incorporated evidence-based approaches based on scientific findings. The use of easy-to-understand graphics regarding the adolescent brain and effective ways to communicate with youth, were also very effective.

I first want to thank you for the work you are doing and for educating kids and parents!  I learned so much from you today.  I never understood “Once an addict always an addict.”  I thought that was a saying to keep people from using again.  It is, but so much more to it.  Thank you for sharing the science behind it.  I too was a parent that thought kids could drink a little as teenagers, I did.  I now have a different perspective on why they should wait.

I brought my two boys with me to your presentation and we all loved it. We all took a lot out of it. I was nervous at first that I had misunderstood and it was for adults only when I did not see other children. However, you are an amazing presenter and made it fun and informative for children and adults!

Your presentation was excellent and made me better understand the effects of screens on my children.

Its been several months since our last visit. Things are going well. Marriage is great. Communication is good. The best part is I’m still sober!!! Today is day 358. Almost at my 1 year mark! I still remember like it was yesterday when you told me I had to come up with an end date. I was a wreck! I was loosing my “best friend”. I still have cravings from time to time but have ZERO desire to use marijuana ever again!

I just wanted to personally thank you, again, for coming to speak with our faculty at Lone Star College -CyFair.  I received rave reviews from those in attendance and I expect you will be receiving many future invitations. I personally couldn’t quit talking about everything I learned from you!  Your engaging presentation style combined with the depth of your expertise make for a killer combination! I attended your presentation last night at MDUMC and really loved it!  Thank you so much for speaking to this subject!  It was so relatable to me and I really appreciated all research on brain development and scans to get a visual.  As a RN, I really appreciated it!
